The seaside village of Leigh was a fishing community for most of its history. Subsequently, its sheltered position at the mouth of the Thames encouraged international travel and made it an elite tourist resort.
The house contains a “tailor-made” kitchen.
An island with a long, roomy worktop in light, industrial colours, influenced by the call of the nearby sea. In fact the vintage wood look gives a sense of the house’s natural seaside surroundings.
The extra-thick Iconcrete snacktop is particularly impressive.
The convenient, labour-saving top, the full-height wall claddings and the extra depth of the worktop create an extremely elegant washing zone. A touch of class is provided by the design of the base unit handle grooves with varying heights, a distinctive detail.
Harmonisation of the interiors’ moods, finishes and colours with modern design features generates an intriguing contrast with the house’s architecture: daring combinations for a unique, original style.
