Destination MIND – Milan Innovation District, the city’s new innovation district, located on the area inherited from Expo 2015, is inaugurating DesignTech.
Based on an idea by Ivan Tallarico (founder and CEO of Hi-Interiors), it is a hub for the design of new growth and venture building margins in industrial and interior design, real estate and technological innovation.
A real blank space offered to designers, businesses and start-ups to enable them to exchange ideas and evolve new ways of building, conceiving and regenerating the future.
Always eager to embrace innovation, Ernestomeda is providing its know-how by supporting all aspects of the initiative and taking part in the Food Design project, the idea of Paolo Barichella – a meeting-place for designers, chefs, technology experts and all players involved in the new food-centric format.
The Icon model, specially designed for its co-living and co-working context, is installed on the ground floor of the Designtech pavilion.
Comprising a fully operational island and equipped with wall-mounted Inspace tall units in Etna Grey Fenix (exclusive to Ernestomeda), it defines an area where users can prepare quick meals or enjoy a drink together.
The Icon air doors with silver frame and the MDi by Inalco worktop 12 mm thick in Nevada finish with integrated washing zone and induction hob ensure safety and professional standards.
The MDi worktop and the Canneté Nevada finish of the base unit doors are amongst the product innovations soon to be featured at eurocucina 2022.
The Twist snacktop in Nordic Oak veneer, which dialogues with the living zone, provides a colour contrast with the rest of the composition, in deep shades of grey.
A kitchen absolutely in line with the Feel@home project - which Ernestomeda sponsors together with other brands - able to rewrite the rules of spaces where food is prepared and eaten in shared locations.
