Ernestomeda uses 100% green energy

Our photovoltaic system, which covers all 16,000 square metres of the plant, transforms the energy in solar radiation to produce clean electricity, generated without emitting carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

In one year, the electricity reduced by the photovoltaic panels is more than twice the amount needed for the company’s operations.
Ernestomeda is thus able to compensate all carbon dioxide emissions for the hours worked and avoid the discharge into the atmosphere of about another 1000 tonnes of CO2, the quantity absorbed by 6000 trees in a year.
