Zaha Hadid and her visionary approach to kitchen design. The futuristic Z. Island project is a “smart” environment that meets a number of functional demands made on kitchens, both conventional and innovative.
Attractive and convenient
Element-specific islands: one for the “fire” (cooking) and another for the “water” (washing) functions. The modular wall cupboards house the appliances and larder. The Corian® panelling features special devices to provide lighting and music.
Zaha Hadid is famous for her ability to break down barriers and constraints in design, creating fluid, unbroken interiors and landscapes, with forms that mirror the transition between functions.
The innovative kitchen concept.
The main island evolves from a horizontal surface, with areas for cooking and eating foods, to a “digital” vertical surface, containing an LCD screen for a TV or PC and an iPod® for music.
Visual continuity of every feature.
The “water” island is a compact hexagonal form that incorporates a sink, a drainer, a dishwasher, a food preparation area and shelves, in immaculate, elegant style.
